A Deb Sokolow Sampler: 20 Years of Speculative Drawing, a solo exhibition installed at Northern Illinois University Art Museum, includes a selection of drawings, installations, notebooks and studio archives spanning twenty years, from 2005 until 2025.

The most recent work in the exhibition, Speculations, 2025, is a dense accumulation of small overlapping drawings hung with t-pins and installed on a curved wall at the back of the museum gallery. A number of texts with site-specific references are drawn directly on the wall around the works on paper.
