Is Kansas City known as the “city of fountains” because it is secretly home to the legendary fountain of youth? Would a Kansas City-style barbecue sauce with youth-enhancing chemicals be worth killing for? This site-specific piece, inked directly onto the walls in Feb. 2008 at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, charts the (mis)adventures of an idiosyncratic amateur detective and allows viewers to choose among six possible endings to the story in a choose-your-own-adventure–type narrative.
